By joining this 12-part Jewish Parenting workshop on Spousing with Sarah Chana Radcliffe you will discover how to:
- Thrive in our marriages by understanding each other’s strengths and limitations
- Create healthy space where it is needed while respecting the other ones personal needs
- Recognize and even come to celebrate each other’s differences while maintaining togetherness throughout
- Seek out and find joy, even through the rough moments, and cherish the moments you have together
This series contains practical methods, class notes, and guided meditations.
- Class 1 – We discuss the importance of self-esteem in marriage and how we can change those around us only when we change ourselves first.
- Class 2 – We discuss the importance of loyalty. We look at loyalty in general in our relationships with others as well as our relationship with ourself.
- Class 3 – We discuss the different nervous systems and how they affect us and our relationships. We talk about what it means to rise to a challenge, cope with a challenge and to resist a challenge.
- Class 4 – We talk a lot about having “calm strength”. We spoke about how to obtain this when there is a lot going on in our lives.
- Class 5 – We look at how to become independent from our spouse in terms of happiness and independence. We discuss the important question of: If our spouse is not there to make us happy then what is our spouse for?
- Class 6 – We look at how to care for ourselves independently from our spouse. We look throughout our lives at the people who have shown us care and learn to include them in our definition of what it means to be cared for.
- Class 7 – We look at the importance of self esteem in our relationships with others and especially with our spouse. We learn the root of how we all come to have insecurities and self-esteem deficits when we are older.
- Class 8 – We answer a myriad of question on the topics of…
- Calm strength and the possibility of living with it at all times
- A daughter in law who requests a lot of her mother in law’s support
- Not being on the same page as one’s husband

- Class 9 – We answer questions on topics such as…
- A husband who feels strongly about a lot of things such as household decor.
- A husband who truly believes he’s giving in 90% of the time.
- A mantra to help with a more serious and critical type of husband

- Class 10 – We learn in detail about the Sedona Method of relaxation to be better able to cope with stresses in order to be strong in our relationship with our spouse.
- Class 11 – We switch our focus on ourselves to our spouse. We practice thinking of their point of view and how to have compassion for them.
- Class 12 – We continue to focus on our response to our spouse when they do not act appropriately in our eyes.
- Class 13 – We look at love and how we can incorporate it in to our lives and marriage.
About Sarah Chana Radcliffe: A registered member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, Sarah Chana Radcliffe has been practicing marriage, parenting and individual counseling for over 40 years. Sarah Chana is a well sought after lecturer on stress management, relationships, anger management and emotional well-being.
